Información biográfica: nacido en Bruselas (Bélgica) , de madre escocesa y padre americano, la infancia de Brian trascurrió en países tan diversos como Liberia, el Líbano o Luxemburgo debido a la profesión de su progenitor: banquero internacional. Fue enviado al American School de Luxemburgo, Brian no tardó en mostrar más interés por actividades creativas, como el teatro, que por los deportes, muy al contrario de lo que hacían sus compañeros de escuela. Entre ellos se encontraba Stefan Olsdal, aunque durante aquellos años nunca se dirigieron la palabra el uno al otro.
A los 16 comenzó a tocar la guitarra como vía de escape a sus frustraciones adolescentes. Nunca quiso recibir clases y así fue como desarrolló un estilo propio y personal. Fue en aquella época cuando descubriría a Sonic Youth que tanto le marcaron en sus inicios musicales. Con 17 años, decidió hacer las maletas y marcharse a Londres, en busca del lugar adecuado para sus sueños y aspiraciones. Allí estudió arte dramático en el Goldsmith College aunque finalmente, y por suerte para todos nosotros, fue en la música donde Brian encontró su sitio, Placebo. En 2005, Brian Molko tuvo su primer hijo, Cody.

Bio info: born in Brussels (Belgium), to Scottish mother and American father, Brian’s childhood passed in such divers countries as Liberia, Lebanon or Luxembourg because of his father’s profession: an international banker. Sent to the American School of Luxembourg, Brian showed very soon to be more interested in creative activities like drama than in sports, contrary to what his schoolmates did. Stefan Olsdal was among they although during those years they never actually spoke to one another.
At the age of 16 he started to play the guitar as way of sorting out his teenage frustrations. He never wanted to take guitar lessons and so he developed a particular and personal style. At that time he found out Sonic Youth music which influenced him so much . When he was 17 decided to pack his bags and go away to London in search for the right place to his dreams and aspirations. He studied drama at the London’s Goldsmith College but eventually, and luckly for all of us, it was into the music scene where Brian found his place, in Placebo. In 2005, Brian Molko had his first son, Cody.
